Project 1
My Project is about the knights templar, I chose this topic because I have always been infatuated with medieval time period. The knights templar caught my attention because i found there lifestyle very interesting, Like all the rules involved with being a knight templar. Some of the rules i found interesting were eating meat only 3 times a week, no gambling, no drinking.

For my art project I wanted to make a shield, The shield was made out of foam. I chose foam because it's the most common type of material to make cosplay shields out of. The foam I used was EVA foam, I decided on Eva foam because EVA foam has a flat surface with no air bubbles and is very rugged, and comes in many different thicknesses. The thickness I chose for my shield was 10mm, I used foam floor mats. to get the foam ready I cut the prongs used to connect the foam mats. After that, I drew the shield shape on paper to make a template to cut out the shield with. Then I painted the front white and the back brown. I painted the back brown so it would look like wood. Next, I started drawing the cross out on paper so I could trace the cross out on the red sheets of 2mm craft foam. Then I glued the cross on the front of the shield using Elmer's glue sticks.
English
For my English project, I wrote a poem about a soldier in the knight Templar. I wanted to focus on how he would feel about killing people in war. because the knights Templars were Christian warriors that fought for the holy lands. They justified the killing by saying they were getting rid of evil and it was ok to kill bad people for the holy land. So you can imagine how hard it would be for someone who is super religious to go against the word of their god. The poem talks about how the soldier struggles with going to sleep at night because of what he’s done. I used his shield as something he uses for protection in battle and when he back to camp to help him cope with what he went through. This was my first time writing a poem. So it was a challenge to make a poem that rhymes. Even though it was my first poem I think I did pretty well with the rhyme scheme.
